"Private Practice" Season Two Review

Private Practice is a spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, one of my favourite shows, and I didn't immediately watch the series, as I only watched Season One for the first time two months ago as I got the DVD for my birthday, in the UK, it only came out in March 2009, which is really bad. However, I really enjoyed Season 1 and I was glad I asked for it for my birthday. So I had some major catching up to do, as I didn't watch Season 2 immediately, and I finished watching season two earlier this week.
.
Season 2 had just begun on LIVING and I thought I would watch it and decide whether to just watch it once a week on the channel, or catch up on the internet, so I chose the latter, and I was very glad. Season 2 is by any means better than the first season, there are new problems each week, and the episodes are very captivating and watchable, so I will definitely buy the DVD when it comes out like next year for us in the UK.
.
One of the things I hated this season was Dell. I really don't like him, he was okay in the first season, but he really did my head in this season. He just involves himself with everything where his nose doesn't belong, and becomes way too personal with other people's problems and acts like a right huffy woman most of the season, and that really annoyed me.
.
But the best episode? I would say the finale, it was very shocking, and ended on a cliffhanger, like nearly every show in the 2008-2009 season. I think my favourite character this season was Violet, she was amazing, very relaxed and a great character while pregnant, and the ending? Well I won't spoil it but it puts Violet's and the baby's lives in jeapordy. Recomended? If you're a Grey's fan and a fan of Addison Montgomery (which I am) then definetly watch this series.

Find Yourself with "Lost" Season 5 DVD

The fifth season of ABC's LOST will hit stores in America on December 8, 2009. I pre-ordered this DVD quite a while ago now, I absolutely adore the season, it is my favourite season so far of Lost, and to have it in my collection will be amazing, but since I got it from Amazon.com, and I live in the UK, it may take up to 2-4 weeks to arrive to me, so it could be just before or just after Christmas when I get it.
.
I am quite sad that this is the penultimate season, and that Season 6 will be the last, especially since I'm basically a new fan. But I have high hopes for Season 6 (I hope Shannon will come back, and I am so glad Claire has been confirmed to be a regular), and I know that I will not be disappointed.

"Harper's Island" - The DVD Edition

Once the series ended, I knew that I would want the DVD when it is released. And very soon on TVShowsOnDVD, the artwork was released. I love the cover, I'm just not a big fan of "The DVD Edition" like they could have used a better kind of edition, like "The Blood Red Edition" or something, I'm not the best at making them names up.
.
The DVD will be released on September 8, 2009 in the United States, and a release date has yet to be announced anywhere else, so the UK or other countries could be waiting a considerable amount of time to own the 13-episode series.

"Lost" Season Five Review

Best Season Yet. I am seriously in love with this series now. The finale was just the best finale yet, and I absolutely adored the whole series, and in my opinion, the best series in the 2008-2009 season, I have really grown to love Lost profoundly.
.
I wish I watched the series sooner, and I passed judgment on it before I even seen an episode and I shouldn't have. But now that I have seen it all so far, I am very glad I changed my opinion and decided to watch the series. It was quite a confusing season with the whole time-travelling fiascos, but I definetly enjoyed it. And poor Charlotte, when she died I felt sorry fo her, as I do when everyone on the show dies.
.
I loved how all the pieces started to connect, like the Dharma Initiative was explored more and Faraday's mother, which was quite a shocking surprise when she killed him in the past and never knew who he was. When I was losing interest with Lost from last season, this season sure picked up the series and took it to a whole new level of amazement, and I can't repeat myself enough when I say I love it.
.
Now the finale. The finale was fantastic. The huge build up was intense, and the whole episode shone from the whole season. It was the finale that made Season 5 the best for me. Now I am a huge Juliet fan, and I love her to bits, and when the chains wrapped around her and dragged her down the huge hole, I was devastated, I thought she was dead, and I was in tears. Then in the last minute, it shows that she isn't dead, and the bomb that they threw down there before hadn't exploded. So Juliet detonates the bomb, leaving the series on a huge cliffhanger, and Season 6 cannot come fast enough, I definetly need my Lost fix.

Harper's Island 1x13- Sigh

Harper's Island is amazing. I cannot believe how amazing it was. I am so thankful that I actually watched the show because I loved it loads. It was one of the best shows of the 2008-2009 season. And this is a finale that doesn't disappoint.
.
What I love most about Harper's Island are the characters, how each had their own story, their own unique characteristics, and they manage to act extremely well. Tear-jerking finale? Definetly, when you remember all the people who have died, you can't help but realize that they didn't make it to the end. That is always sad in horror movies, and it is also an issue with this, it's just so emotional.
.
The whole series finale was fantastic. I loved the chases, the revelations, the survivors and the deceased. I was so looking forward to this and I was so thrilled that by the end of it I was not at all disappointed. I felt so sorry for Sully, he was ganged on by Wakefield and Henry and he had no way to escape, the whole island massacre was designed so no one would survive apart from Henry and Wakefield (who is double-crossed by Henry) and Abbey, and Jimmy.
.
Being in a situation like that would be heart-stopping, it really would be a scary atmosphere. Henry is obsessed with Abbey ever since they were kids and Henry would visit Abbey at home in Harper's Island. It makes me feel so sorry for Trish too, who loved Henry but was used all this time just so he could be with Abbey. Pretty demented, huh? Yup!
.
The very end, when the video of the wedding guests saying congratulations to Henry and Trish for marrying, was very sad because people who had died prior to the finale were in the video, well only some, but I was extremely glad that Cal and Chloe were in the video, because they were my favourite couple, and it was very emotional, and Trish was in it too, and then the very end with Henry, it makes you realize how crazy he really was, but it kind of makes me feel a little sorry for him too. They all seemed so happy.
.
So if you haven't watched the series yet, I think you would regret not seeing it, because it truly was a fantastic series overall, and I will definetly be rewatching on DVD when it comes out.

Harper's Island 1x12- Gasp

You cannot believe how excited I was for the final 2 episodes of Harper's Island, I even stayed up all night and morning to download the last 2 episodes, and I finally got to watch them at about 3am, and my excitement was enough to keep me awake. When it started, I got butterflies and goosebumps.
.
Spoilers ahead. I knew something would happen to Trish this episode, and since my favourite character was killed off in episode 11, my second favourite, Trish, had to step up for the role, and she did amazing. I didn't want her to die, and I felt so so sorry for her- her fiance, who she loved so deeply, turns out to be the second killer (which I guessed since the 5th episode that he would be a killer), and she is so hurt by it, that he used her so his dad, Wakefield (the main killer) could get his revenge on Abby.
.
Her death scene is my second favourite in the whole series, but it is my favourite in this episode. Poor Danny too, died to save Shea and Madison from a similar fate from Wakefield. It was a very smart and enjoyable episode, and I thorougly enjoyed it. When Trish died, I did what I did when I saw Chloe die, I got tears in my eyes.
.
Now Abby is my favourite, and she is the main character, so I've always assumed she would survive to the end, which I turned out to be right, but even though I predicted it, it didn't crush the excitement and shocks I still got from the last few episodes, I'm just so sad that its ending and no more episodes will be produced, but I am looking very forward to the DVD release.

"Lost" Season Four Review

Well I finished the season like ages ago but I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to be able to review it. I am very glad I got into Lost finally, and I'm loving the series, but I have to be brutally honest when I say this wasn't my favourite season at all, and is probably my least favourite. I still loved the season, but it didn't feel as much "Lost" as I thought it should have, quite a weak beginning of the season, however it did get stronger as it went along.
.
I wasn't a fan of the new characters introduced- Charlotte, Faraday and Miles, I found them a little strange, and I didn't take well with them. But as I said, it gets better, and I did grow to like Charlotte and Miles, but I still wasn't a fan of Faraday. One of the best episodes of the season I think would be "The Shape of Things to Come", with (spoilers ahead) the death of Alex, Danielle's estranged daughter, who I really liked and I thought she was really good and I didn't want it to happen, and I really liked Danielle as well, I was so used to her being there, and then it happened in the episode before.
.
Lost never fail to deliver amazing finales, and I adored the season four finale as I did with the first three. I wish I had of reviewed sooner because my memory is so bad that I've forgot like half of the season already, and I also thought that Sun's performance when Jin seemed to have been killed on the Freighter explosion was so powerful and amazing that it was award-worthy, acting this season (and every season) has been so fantastic.

Apology

I am so sorry I haven't been posting any updates, I have just been so busy creating a Wikia for Ghost Whisperer, I never realized how much hard work goes into them, it's taking up nearly all my time to make it look good and create all the pages from scratch etc.

"Ghost Whisperer" Season 4 DVD Artwork

Finally, they released the Season 4 DVD cover!!! And I'm actually a little disappointed.
.
After the huge long wait for it, finally being released a month and a half after the season ended, even though DVD artworks for other shows were released as early as January, and I was so looking forward to seeing it, and in my honest opinion, its the worst cover out of all 4! It does sound pretty strong, and I do love the cover, but its the weakest of all four.
.
Don't get me wrong, I love Jim, but did they have to put him on the cover? I know lots of fans will disagree, but I so loved Melinda being the sole person on the cover, and they kind of ruined that tradition. I know Jim played an important role in the season, and probably put him on the cover because he died, but did they put Andrea on the cover of Season 1? Or at least use a better picture of Jim, I mean really, was that the best they could find?
.
Season Three's cover was very creative, they obviously took their time with it and the background was gorgeous, as was the picture of Melinda. She is gorgeous on the front of Season 4 though, a great picture to use, but I don't like how they stepped down from last season. And the tagline? The way it is put on, quite big and red, it really looks out of place, and Love Never Dies? Couldn't they have used the prominent tagline from season 4 instead of a Season 2 episode name? "Love Transcends Death" would have been better and relevant to the season.
.
I still love it of course, I just hope they don't release it in the UK like seven months after the US release like Season 3, it so isn't fair.

"Lost" Season Three Review

So I am still watching Lost all the way through, and I finished Season 3 a few days ago actually, right now I am onto Season 5, so before I get to reviewing that, I need to review Season 3. Now before I watched the series, I already knew what would be the fate of Charlie Pace, and Mr. Eko, so I wasn't at all surprised, I was actually quite happy that Charlie was going to die, but when it actually happened, I felt so sorry for him, I wanted to take it back.
.
One of the best things this season was the introduction of Juliet, an Other whose story gets revealed as the season goes on. I really like Juliet, and I loved when she asked Jack to kill Ben by using the video as a sneaky method of communication and so I am glad that she has been made a regular. Ben, hmm, at first I didn't like him, I wanted rid of him a long time ago, but that wasn't meant to be, and I was quite glad. He makes a great villain, he is very manipulative in getting everyone around him to do what he wants done, so that kind of cunning and evil makes quite the antagonist.
.
I loved a lot of the stories about the Others, however I thought the season was a little stretched and it kind of got dull a bit. I did love when Jack and Juliet returned to the camp, yet no one trusted Juliet at all. And I also loved the whole Desmond seeing into the future thing, that was great, and when he told Charlie that no matter what he did, Charlie was going to die. It really set up the season nicely.
.
One of the other best things was seeing Shannon come back for an episode, in the Nikki and Paulo centric episode half-way through the season. I was glad they included her. And also how Nikki and Paulo died was very wierd but intriguing and I wonder if the survivors will ever find out how they really died.
.
The finale was once again, amazing. The Looking Glass station was quite an eerie setting, and the series of events that happens there are very captivating, and I love Penny, so I was glad to see her on the computer screen. But then poor Charlie drowned, which was very sad since he did it to save Desmond from the same fate. Overall, the season wasn't the best, nor was it the worst, and I am definetly looking forward to finishing the series and finding out all the answers I want to know.
